"Cyber Force #3" Plot Summary

Writer: Marc Silvestri

Six days ago, Carin's dog, Ninja, overheard Chairman Taylor talking about the Aphrodite Protocol, a plan to destroy all life on earth and start over with CDI cyborgs and bio-engineered plants and animals. The dog tells Carin and this is what started her search for Morgan Stryker.

She tells her tale to Ripclaw and Ares Prime, but then they are attacked by Aphrodite V and a squad of SHOC troops looking to take Carin back to the chairman. They are about to kill Ripclaw and Ares when Stryker shows up and saves them.

Stryker is about to leave again when Carin calls him her father, asking him not to leave her again.

At home, the Taylors are having a very awkward twenty-fifth anniversary dinner in which they both drop hints about Mrs. Taylor's (Francesca's) affair with Stryker.

"Cyber Force #2" Plot Summary

Writer: Marc Silvestri

Many years ago, Morgan Stryker (cover) was the head of the CDI black ops team. He was sent to kill a Chinese competitor, Chen, but ended up having to kill Chen's wife and two kids as well, in order to eliminate witnesses. It still haunts him today.

Ripclaw left the others before the attack and went to retrieve Carin in order to use her as a bargaining tool against CDI. They need CDI's Serum in order to keep their bodies from rejecting their cybernetic implants. Many of them worked for CDI's black ops team under Stryker.

Ripclaw frees Carin (not dead after all, but simply unconscious) and then sees the slaughter Carin's sister (Cassandra - Ballistic) has accomplished on his people, including his wife and son. Ares Prime crawls out of the debris. Ripclaw says they need to find Morgan Stryker and get his help.

Stryker has used make up and fake skin to cover his cybernetic implants and is working as an attendant at a parking garage. He's missing one arm.

Mrs. Taylor, the chairwoman of CDI, is talking to her older daughter, Cassandra. Cassandra says that Carin was not among the dead in the attack. Neither were Ripclaw or Stryker. She also says that Dolorossa (another of Stryker's old teammates) was in charge of the battle, working under the direction of the chairman, Mr. Taylor. Mrs. Taylor comments that Mr. Taylor never really did like his daughters, explaining his treatment of Carin.

Mrs. Taylor did not know that Mr. Taylor had Carin in custody, and so sent Cassandra looking for her.

"Cyber Force #1" Plot Summary

Writer: Marc Silvestri

Heatwave (top left), SHOC troop (bottom left), Cyblade (bottom center), Ares Prime (center left), Carin Taylor (center), Ripclaw (right), Cassandra Taylor on horseback

Carin Taylor, daughter of the chairwoman of CDI corporation, is running from SHOC soldiers. She knows how the world is going to end and she needs to find someone (Morgan Stryker) who will believe her. Her dog, Ninja, attacks one of the SHOCs and is killed for it. Carin escapes into the sewers.

In the sewers, she meets a group of rebels: Dylan Cruise (Heatwave), Dominique Thiebaut (Cyblade), Boomer O'Shea (Impact), Mark Matthews (Ares Prime), and Robert Bearclaw (Ripclaw). They were SHOC troops, but are now terrorists. They even tried to kill Carin's mom. They debate killing Carin, but decide to keep her as a hostage.

That night, Ripclaw's son, Jimmy, lets Carin escape.

Carin says the world will end due to overpopulation. People will run out of food and other resources. Nations will war for what's left and then destroy the earth in a nuclear holocaust in 2047. The Aphrodite Protocol changes humans into a new species so that they can survive.

Carin is telling all of this while apparently dead (or perhaps unconscious), via a chip inserted in her head to access her memories. She says Ninja, her dog, told her all of this. The chairman of CDI, her father, wants to know how they knew about the Aphrodite Protocol. He finds out that Ninja is still alive (he's a special forces hybrid) and plans to question him as well.

Meanwhile, the chairwoman sends her older daughter, Cassandra, and Carin's bodyguard (Aphrodite) to find Carin. In their search, leading SHOC troops, they find that Heatwave, Impact, and Cyblade have all been killed in the sewers.
